Make Your Own Glass Flowers
Working with an experienced glass blower, the student will learn how to apply different colors to molten glass, how to shape the semi-molten form and finally to create the flower shape. NOTE: There is less "hands-on" with making flowers because they are not "blown" like other glass objects.
Students should not wear loose-fitting clothes nor clothes made of synthetic fabric (these melt easily).
Age Limit- 13 years old, minimum.
Build Your Own Flower Vase
Choose from a variety of local hardwoods such as maple, walnut, cedar, or oak to build your personalized vase for your glass flowers. Learn to use machines like a miter saw, mortiser, drill press, and sander to cut and assemble this beauty. Finish it off with an oil, stain, or polyurethane of your choice. This vase will be ready to go home with you at the end of the class!
