Metals 302, 8 hours, $400 (over two successive weekends or one full day)

Copper pots have long been a mainstay of kitchens around the world. This class will teach students how to make a copper cook pot, in this case a small pot, approximately 3.5” (dia.) x 4”. Students will learn how to form the body of the pot, attach a base, rivet a handle onto the pan, and tin the pot’s interior. The pot itself will be heavy gauge copper with a brass handle.

Some soldering experience is helpful. Class is limited to 1 student. If the scheduled time is bad for you contact instructor at jimcohenjudaica@gmail.com, to determine a mutually compatible class date and time. Class can be done in one 8 hour session or in two 4 hour sessions (successive weeks).

Materials fee of $100.00 (paid directly to the instructor) includes copper, brass, and tin, and shop supplies.
